Miracles Do Happen

Discouragement. Disappointment. Despair.

At times these 3 feelings are all that are familiar to me. A lot of times I get lost in it, wondering "whats the point?". Then I scroll on Facebook, check out msn.com and watch the news and once again, my despair only seems to be confirmed.

Life can be hard. I think its more than okay to acknowledge that and be honest that things are not as they should be. Lets not stuff it in or ignore it; things are really wrong in our world, in our country.

At the same time, I myself believe that God really cares about all the brokenness in the world and that He is working to heal it all up, and I could go on and on about all my thoughts and experiences with that. But for this story I want you to know that I do see it happening.I see it is small ways. Slow ways. And honestly even though I see it, I still feel like there are times when I need a big glimpse of hope. Something more than a minor change or a small bit or positive transformation.

I need to see the miracle.

Well, everyone, I recently met one. Her name is Savannah Cook.

Before she was born doctors prepared her parents that her time here would be very short and they probably would not get to have any time with her. I am very happy to tell you-they were wrong. She is now two months old, defying all odd and leaving the doctors scratching their heads. And did I mention she has her parents wrapped around her little finger, as they should be.

I can tell you that while I was with her, I was smitten.

She makes the sweetest whimpers,

has the best rolls,

responds to touch and her mommas voice,

and she is full of life.

This was never suppose to happen and yet, she is here to remind us all that miracles do happen-I love that. And I am so thankful for her. I hope this encourages you.

Miracles do happen.

Here are some of my favorites from her session..
